Community of Practice Coaching Group Launching in Milan

 The purpose of this Community of Practice Coaching (CPC) Group is to offer a place of exchange where professional coaches can discuss themes related to coaching, share and develop specific coaching skills and techniques, and network among colleagues.

Milan is a hub for international business, and we believe there is a need for a group designed for professional coaches who work in International environments to share cross-cultural techniques and learn directly from internationally experienced coaches.  This group will be held in English and can also provide you the opportunity to practice coaching skills in English.

Full-day meetings will be held in Milan, near Central Station, once every 2 months, with a total of five meetings per year. The first meeting will be held on Monday, February 21, 2011.

Who can participate?

Professionals who have 1-2 years coaching experience and use coaching as a part of his/her career.  Applications and CV’s should be sent by 30.1.2011 to Monique Svazlian at monique@highestpath.com  A follow up telephone interview will also be conducted to determine entry into the group. The number of participants is limited to 12 people, and priority will be given by the date of the application.

What is it about?

Educational topics will be chosen by the participants of the CPC, including the sharing of complex coaching cases, with opportunities to study topics of common interest. Topics for the year will be chosen and decided during the first meeting by members.

Activities include:

Skills Training: Participants share specific coaching skills, methods and tools they use with the rest of the group;

Mentoring: Participants are available to provide support, aid or advice on the activities and projects of colleagues;

Coach the Coach: Group supervision on difficult/challenging cases of coaches with their clients;

Round tables or open and constructive coaching on specific topics such as:

- Ethics in coaching
-Team coaching
-Differences between psychotherapy and coaching
-Specifics of coaching in SMEs
- Executive Coaching

What commitment is needed?
We ask for full attendance to our meetings (from 9.30 to 17.30) every 2 months. The schedule of dates will be agreed by all the participants at the initial meeting.

How much?
The annual cost, inclusive of the rental of rooms for all meetings is 300 € VAT per participant and is due with registration.

We welcome you to join our new International CPC group which promises to be a diverse and unique mix of coaching professionals. Bring your desire to "get in the game" and sign up.

Our aim is to raise the level of the coaching profession by acquiring ever-higher quality standards. By joining the CPC, you will become part of a large network of professional coaches which has grown voluntarily and independently over a five year period.  That is why the founding principle of the Community of Practice of Coaching is identified in our motto "to grow and share."

The group will be led by Monique Svazlian, an internationally trained coach and consultant, originally from the US, who currently works as a leadership trainer and branding coach.
